This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral member of this growing underwriting agency based in Sydney CBD. In this diverse and hands on role, you’ll be supporting highly experienced senior professional risks underwriters with the administration and operational side, allowing them to focus on business development and underwriting the larger risks.
As a key member of the team, you’ll enjoy preparing quotes, liaising with brokers, calculating premiums, issuing policy documentation, processing endorsements, underwriting the smaller risks and general administrative tasks. You’ll have the benefit of shadowing senior staff as you hone your experience, with a genuine opportunity to progress to an underwriter if you choose.
This opportunity will appeal to a general insurance professional who requires work / life balance, or a return to work mother who requires flexibility and the option to customise their hours. Working 30-38 hours per week, you’ll have the option to work from home 3 days a week and 2 days in the office, or hours up to the equivalent of 4 days if desired.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, it is essential that you have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience as an Assistant Underwriter or Broker with financial lines exposure. In addition, you’ll have excellent communication, organisational and administration skills with high level computer literacy. A positive and hardworking attitude, exceptional client service ethic, attention to detail, be self-motivated with a demonstrated track record of initiative and teamwork.
